Wadhams Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades

To adhere to NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) regulations for seasonal disinfection, MJ assisted the Town of Westport in implementing improvements to its WWTP, which serves the Wadhams Sewer District. MJ’s design included ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection, rehabilitation of the sand filters, a new submersible effluent pump station, access improvements, a new emergency generator and automatic transfer switch, and security upgrades. MJ was also responsible for preparation of an engineering report, bid phase assistance, contract administration, and construction inspection.
