Times Union Center Parking Garage Improvements

MJ was responsible for survey, transportation, and structural engineering associated with traffic improvements for the Times Union Center parking garage in downtown Albany. The garage is a six level parking structure. This structure experienced typical daily cycles with heavy ingress during the morning rush hours and heavy egress during evening rush hours.

The structure also experienced considerable ingress immediately prior to events and heavy egress at the completion of events. To alleviate ingress and egress issues, MJ converted the existing ingress along Market Street to an egress onto Market Street and constructed a new ingress point along Market Street on the south west corner of the structure.
