New York State Fairgrounds Exposition Center

MJ was responsible for providing civil engineering and land surveying services to develop bid documents and a complete RFP package for the design of the new $66 million Exposition Center. The Exposition Center features 110,000-sq. ft. of modern, flexible programming space with 4,000 retractable seats and a clear span of 250 feet. MJ was responsible for site survey and mapping of the preferred location of this project, in addition to completing site evaluations for building construction and stormwater facilities. The firm also completed advanced plans for use in the preparation of bridging documents and project narratives and performance standards for the site aspect of the project. MJ reviewed the design/build team’s documents to ensure conformance with bridging documents and project performance standards. MJ also served as the owner’s representative during the construction phase and reviewed contractor submittals.
