Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project Facilities Study

MJ worked with C&S Companies on the planning and conceptual design for the proposed New York Power Authority’s St. Lawrence – Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project Support Facilities Option Study located on Barnhart Island Road in Massena, New York. The project included the examination of two potential sites for the relocation of select operations to a new 40,000-sq. ft. building outside the secure boundary of the existing power plant facility. As part of each site evaluation, MJ conducted utility studies to identify potential tie-in locations, review current capacity of existing private site utilities, and expansion needs. The options study involved potable water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, electric, and data/telecommunications. The options study identified available connections to existing utilities, determined the capacity needs of each utility based on current and future uses, provided recommendations for utility improvements associated with each site, and provided opinions of probable costs for each utility improvement identified.
