Mohan's house

1979

MJ FOUNDED

MJ was founded in 1979 by Man Mohan Jaggi. At the time, MJ was a two-person firm offering civil engineering services out of a home office above Mohan’s garage. 

1988

MJ BEGINS
SURVEY SERVICES

MJ began offering survey services. Today, our survey group includes more than 40 staff members in four office locations.

MJ PURCHASES 
LASER SCANNER

MJ is one of the first companies in the country to purchase a 3D laser scanner. Our first project was scanning the Denver International Airport.

MJ WINS SBA 

Mohan wins SBA Small Business Person of the Year Award. MJ competed against nationwide firms to win a contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide architecture and engineering services on over 25 projects!

The building was formerly the KAPS building (Karen and Prem’s Store) which was Mohan’s wife and daughter’s party supply store.

Exit 12: Design of
Five Roundabouts

 

MJ led the design of five consecutive roundabouts over I-87 at Exit 12. This $20 million contract was the first of its kind and won several industry awards.

MJ ACQUIRES
MOBILE MAPPER

MJ's mobile mapping system accurately captures 3D information at highway speeds. MJ has mobile mapped on a variety of roadway and highway projects.

TRANSFORMATION OF THE NEW YORK STATE FAIR

MJ completes our largest prime contract to date: the Transformation of the New York State Fair.

MICHAEL PANICHELLI
BECOMES PRESIDENT

Mohan retired as the president of MJ, passing the reigns to long-time employees Michael Panichelli, president, and Eric Williams, vice president. Four decades and hundreds of successfully completed projects have passed. 

2020

MJ OPENS HUDSON VALLEY OFFICE

MJ opens a new office in FIshkill, New York to increase our presence in the Hudson Valley.

MJ AWARDED PICATINNY CONTRACT

MJ is awarded a $50 million contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers at Picatinny Arsenal, its largest contract in company history!
