POSITION SUMMARY:
MJ is seeking a full-time project engineer with a minimum of 5-7 years of construction related experience. This position provides leadership and comprehensive construction management and engineering support for on-site construction projects for the Army Corps of Engineers in Watervliet, New York.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversight of inspectors and coordination and accountability of all projects, administrative and in-field responsibilities.
Notify government of discrepancies found during inspections and ensure compliance.
Interpret plans and specifications for the government and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
Prepare and track construction schedules and requests updates as schedule changes.
Implement change orders to project when required.
Review design drawings for constructability.
Review / prepare inspection reports, indicating discrepancies and evidence of noncompliance and determining states of construction progress.
Provide feedback and updates of pertinent day-to-day site conditions, deficiencies and site discussions with field representatives.
Implement change orders to project when required.
Coordinate and perform daily field site visits to verify that work is proceeding with contract documents and approved submittals.
Provide and review submittals, RFI logs, maintenance logs, and other project related materials in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid driver’s license
Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction from an ABET- accredited college or relevant number of years’ experience.
Excellent writing and communication skills

Salary Range: $90,000-110,000
