POSITION SUMMARY:
MJ is actively seeking a BIM modeler to join our team to assist with current and exciting future projects. This job offering provides an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to grow and advance in MJ’s architecture and engineering practices. We are seeking a motivated candidate with a strong interest in BIM modeling that is well organized, resourceful, and creative.
Candidates should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and have strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills. As a BIM modeler, you will progress design concepts through design development and work with the project team to produce construction documents for a wide range of regional projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work within a project team to model a variety of disciplines from existing condition reality capture data, as built and design drawings
Develop one or more project BIM models to differing level of details for public and private facilities ranging in size from 20,000 – 500,000 squre feet
Communicate effectively and coordinate with project team members, including in house and external designers from a variety of disciplines
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in computer aided drafting, engineering technology, or construction management preferred, but not required
At least one year of relevant experience with Autodesk Revit
Knowledge of 3D data processing software such as Leica Cyclone, Clearedge Edgewise, PointFuse, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley Microstation
Fluency in reading 2D construction documents
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Team player that has passion for their work
