	MJ provided Preliminary & Final Design services for the reconstruction of a one-mile section of highway to boulevard transition entranceway into the city of Saratoga Springs, New York. Services provided included: preparation of all Inroads generated highway alignments, typical sections and roadway profiles for the road widening and boulevard development of US Route 9, utility relocation / design, sidewalk reconstruction, MPT and cost estimates. Pedestrian accommodations were incorporated into the highway design, including a series of multi-use paths connecting the roadway sidewalks and adjacent areas into the State Park. Critical design elements including the relocation of all overhead utility services underground, the incorporation of period style lighting to match the existing historic lighting into downtown Saratoga and the use of imprinted and color concrete walkways refined the design.
