MJ was responsible for the survey, design and construction inspection for the deck replacement of the Gero Road Bridge, an earth-filled stone arch bridge built in 1900. Precast deck panels, covering an area of 22 x 33 feet, were selected as the replacement option to limit construction to one season and provide a quality concrete product fabricated within a controlled environment. The project also included approach roadway reconstruction and new guide rail. Tight construction schedules were maintained and work was completed within a 14-week period. |
