CIVIL ENGINEER

M.J. Engineering and Land Surveying, P.C. is seeking a qualified civil engineer with 2-5 years of civil engineering experience. Responsibilities will include review and management of stormwater plans, sewer monitoring, review of site plans and construction drawings. The majority of work will be located at Fort Drum, New York. The successful candidate will be personable, motivated and client driven.

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

The qualified candidate must be skilled in development, management, configuration and hands-on support of infrastructure (hardware, software, and OS) including, but not limited to Windows and Linux/Unix workstations and servers, local- and wide-area networks, wireless and telephony. The candidate will be required to analyze and recommend both hardware and software requirements for existing and future programs. The candidate will be required to manage the installations, configuration, operation, backup, recovery and general maintenance of servers, storage, workstations and related infrastructure. The candidate will also be expected to learn new IT-related skills and improve upon existing IT-related skills via self study and/or company-sponsored training. A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (or related field) and five years' experience in administering corporate computing systems is desired.

Construction Inspector
(Albany and New York City)
MJ is seeking Construction Inspectors for small to medium highway and bridge construction projects. NICET certification is required. Experience with NYSDOT and/or New York State Thruway Authority construction procedures and specifications are a plus. Senior Structural Engineers
Building, Bridge and Bridge Inspection Structural Engineers
The successful candidates should have 10+ years experience in the design of concrete, steel, masonry and wood structures and be experienced with structural engineering software and AutoCAD and/or Micro Station. Familiarity with NYS Building Code, ACI 318, Revit and Stadd a plus. BS Civil Engineering required, P. E. preferred. Structural Engineer/Project Manager The candidate should have 5-7 years experience in the design of concrete, steel, masonry and wood building structures and be experienced with structural engineering software and AutoCAD. BS Civil Engineering required, PE preferred. Civil Engineer The candidate should have 5-7 years of experience with land development projects including site layout, water, sewer, storm water and permitting. BS Civil Engineering required, PE preferred.

Junior Architect / Technician
The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in architectural design, specification preparation and cost estimating with a proficiency in AutoCAD. Candidate should have working knowledge in construction details and be adept at working on multi-disciplined projects within the firm including engineering.
