SURVEYING CAD TECHNICIAN
Our rapidly growing survey division has an immediate need for an additional full-time survey technician. Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation, Revit and Leica Cyclone is a plus. We are willing to train the right candidate.
SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
MJ is seeking a qualified civil / site engineer with a minimum of 7 years of civil engineering experience. Leadership qualities, organizational skills and a team-player mentality are required. The position’s responsibilities include the lead civil / site engineer on municipal, governmental and private design projects, with strong knowledge of site layout, water, sewer, stormwater and permitting. Previous design experience with and knowledge of New York State codes and regulations is encouraged. A B.S. in civil engineering and a P.E. license are required. Technical knowledge of the AutoCAD Civil 3D platform preferred.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
MJ is seeking a qualified structural engineer with a minimum of 7 years of structural engineering experience. Leadership qualities, organizational skills and a team-player mentality are required. The position’s responsibilities include analysis and design of highway structures, including reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete and steel bridges, retaining systems, drainage structures, pedestrian walkways/overpasses and rail bridges. Previous design experience with and knowledge of New York State and AASHTO codes and regulations is encouraged. A B.S. in civil/structural engineering and a P.E. license are required. Technical knowledge of the MicroStation / AutoCAD Civil 3D platforms preferred.
TEAM LEADER / ENGINEER
MJ is seeking a bridge inspection Team Leader to work in Region 8. Specific counties include Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster, and Westchester. We are looking for a team-oriented structural engineer with strong communication skills and a working knowledge of bridges (design, load rating, and condition inspections). Requirements include: NYS P.E. , five years experience with bridge work, New York State driver's license and the ability to drive a van and/or other inspection vehicles. Must be available to work in the field, use ladders, assist with traffic control and work at heights. Occasional night and weekend work may be required. Familiarity with NYSDOT bridge inspection preferred.
ASSISTANT TEAM LEADER / ENGINEER
MJ is seeking an assistant bridge inspection team leader to work on upstate New York bridge/culvert inspection projects. We are looking for team-oriented structural engineer with strong communication skills. Experience with biennial bridge inspections for NYSDOT is a plus. AAS required, BSCE preferred. Must be available to work in the field, use ladders, assist with traffic control and work at heights. The job requires a New York State driver's license and the ability to drive a van and/or other inspection vehicles. Must work as a team player and be available for occasional night and weekend work.
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR
MJ is seeking construction inspectors for small to medium highway and bridge construction projects. NICET certification is required. Experience with NYSDOT and/or New York State Thruway Authority construction procedures and specifications are a plus.
